Embarrassed about BUILDING A COMPANY
Last Saturday a dear friend of mine told me that the previous post I shared with you about raising $1M in 30 days for my equity crowdfunding campaign sounded so unrealistic that he felt like there was no action he could take to support my goal.
That hit me hard — I even stopped releasing daily videos — because it meant that someone that knows me well didn’t understand my thinking or my position.
Then I felt embarrassed by my entrepreneurial position due to a mix of my own expectations and other people’s assumptions.
Then I remembered that my expectations of myself come to fruition by me meeting challenges.
Then I remembered how much I’ve had to recognize other people’s assumptions and redirect them to the reality I wish to share with them by EXPLAINING IT.

To put it plainly, we have to clear $50K to reach our minimum and we can raise up to $1.07M as the maximum. While I have verbal commitments from several people, their investments have yet to come in and we’re still at $14,880 with 8 days left to the close of our funding round.

Before I go, I must say, it’s a weird feeling to know you have something of value and still have to ask for help.
