How to LO$E MONEY in the HERO BUSINESS 👀🎬
After years of production and community building, my series Justice For Hire has launched! We’re three episodes in, so please watch our latest made in partnership with ActNOW, Hollywood’s LGBTQ+ acting collective (1min long):
Finding our Arrested Development meets action anime style and tone for the series was another multi-year challenge. I really want to have hard conversations with our community, and I also want us to have fun together. I think we found the balance, but please let me know your opinion!
Seriously, what do you like? What can be better? Is there a character you want to see more of? Your thoughts are super important to me.
The fact that I can even ask you to watch is no small feat! On the contrary, it’s been a massive undertaking. My team and I have worked with thousands of people across the globe to build a shared story world — a cinematic universe — starring anyone who wants to join. Hundreds of hours of video had to be narratively organized behind the scenes so that we could start releasing content (beyond our initial starter pack that gave our audience the motivation to join us).
Every episode is strategic, leading to bigger milestones for the story, our community, and our cinematic social network, ReelwUrld. We now have enough content for weekly releases for 5 months, which will lay the groundwork for our follow-up season that’s already in the can (which bridges the storytelling and production value from social media to a more traditional television format).
Bottom line is: we’re well underway in telling new stories in a new way during a time when the entertainment and technology landscape are reformatting. We’re doing something new, together!
